Can't extract premium potatoes from silo, plz help - GIANTS Software (2024)

Posted this question over on the fs22 subreddit 3 days ago, but no one answered. Not sure if this is the right section for this, but if it is not hopefully someone will let me know a better place to ask.

Here is my issue. I've placed a farm factory by OmaTana and made premium potatoes. I've placed them in the $10,000 and 5,000,000L Silo from the American Farm Buildings Pack. I have 86,000 of them in there. However nothing seems to get the option to load them up for selling.

I have tried several things, none have worked. It seems every trailer I have that says it will load premium potatoes is either a flat trailer like for pallets or bales, or is an autoloading type, both of which will not give the R to fill notification at the silo.

Can anyone help me get these taters out of my silo? Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

I don't think so. I have tried every trailer I have which says it can load premium potatoes. I'm assuming it is something to do with them being a pallet originally, however being accepted by the silo. Then it's expecting to eject them into a grain type trailer. It works with tomatoes, lettuce, regular potatoes, cotton, soybeans, honey, strawberries and the other crops I can grow in the Open air garden mod, however just not the premium potatoes.

I'm beginning to wonder if it would be easier for me to edit a XML of a trailer I already have to accept the premium potatoes as it does the other types of crops. But I'm at a loss as how to add something like that to the XML file myself.

Edit: Your post had me thinking "Is it possible to buy empty pallet boxes and fill them on the trailer?" Never tried that. But I looked in the store and I do not have the option to buy the boxes as empty. They simply delete when I unload them and they hit 0 liters. However, I thought "Hrmm, the universal goods transport bags(mod), maybe". So I bought one, made another pallet of premium potatoes to put in it to start so it wouldn't possibly grab a different type of crop. That didn't work though. Even tried putting it on the forks of a tractor front loader, but that just pulled those 2,000 liters of premium potatoes into the silo as well, lol.

The Premium Potatoes are set up as filltype categories Product(pallets) and Trainwagon
Any trailer would need to be setup to accept the Trainwagon filltype category or Premium Potatoes filltype specifically and none of the trailers I use accept that as standard as it is of course meant for loading the train, I had to change a trailer to accept it before it would work although it looks like grain in the trailer as there is no texture setup for them when in a trailer.

In the xml of the trailer you want to use search for fillTypeCategories="BULK" and change it to fillTypeCategories="BULK TRAINWAGON" and you should be able to load the Premium Potatoes.

You’re using the Yard Production Pack by OmaTana? I’m going to assume you’re not talking about Washed Potatoes from the Farm Production DLC. I haven’t dealt with premium potatoes in a while, but why don’t you just set them to sell in the production in the future? I seem to remember moving them around at one point though, did you try Lizard Tardis XL by OmaTana?

Yeah I'm using the Tardis XL trailer and it wont accept them, will try to edit the xml for it and if I botch that then i will grab to TLX Box-it
